After celebrating the tender bond between mothers and their young in WILD DROP 05: Golden Moments, I found myself thinking about all the other relationships that shape a life.

WILD DROP 06: Buddies explores companionship throughout the animal kingdom. From lion cubs shadowing their fathers to wolves moving together through the landscape, these paintings celebrate the quiet relationships built through trust, curiosity, protection, and play.

As I painted this collection, I kept returning to how universal these experiences are. Across species, we all rely on companionship. We learn by watching one another. We find confidence in familiar faces. We seek comfort, safety, and belonging. Whether human or wild, our lives are shaped by the relationships we build.

I've always believed wildlife has the unique ability to help us better understand ourselves. The curiosity, loyalty, playfulness, and protection we recognize in animals are often reflections of our own experiences. Those relationships, however, depend on healthy habitats and thriving ecosystems. My hope is that these paintings not only celebrate the beauty of wildlife but also inspire a deeper appreciation for the remarkable species we share the planet with and the importance of protecting them.

At its heart, WILD DROP 06: Buddies is a celebration of connection—a reminder that some of life's most meaningful moments are found in the quiet presence of another, in shared experiences, and in the simple comfort of having a buddy beside you.
